Proposed design 2013

June 2013: we have now arrived at a proposed design taking into account the input from the questionnaires handed out at the Cake sale in September 2012, the Summer Fair in July 2013, the online questionnaire, the two French garden design students whom we met in 2012 and Sara Haynes (see below).

There are still questions yet to be decided upon: what exactly to plant in the raised beds, what the path should be made of, what the raised beds should be made of, whether to have seating, how the workshop will be used. We are not planning to have electricity / gas / running water / sanitation on the site.

Here is the plan.

Sara's Design Proposals, May 2013

Sara Haynes is a final year student at Myerscough Horticultural College and is about to embark on a university course in garden design.

Here are her ideas for the site. Her Design Notes are here. This is accompanied by a free-form panorama illustrating what she would like to see. saras design You are standing in the middle of the site and turning round to the right taking in the workshop plus water-butt, the pergola, to the purple buddleia, to the new gate, to the wide entrance gate, and back to the workshop.
